A truck driver from California was rescued after his truck was swept away by floodwaters in Uvalde County, Texas. The driver, Gabriel Pablo, was on his way to pick up a load when the flood hit, and he was forced to climb onto the roof of his truck to escape. The truck eventually got stuck between two trees, allowing rescue crews to reach Pablo.
The flood has caused at least one fatality and nearly 30 rescue attempts have been made, according to Texas officials. Evacuations have been ordered for Kerr County, and over 1,300 state personnel have been deployed to respond to the flood.
This incident may affect oversize operators traveling through Texas, particularly in the Hill Country region, where flooding has surpassed historic levels.

Weekend travel is generally allowed subject to those metro curfews and daylight rules.
- Movement of loads exceeding 14 ft wide, 16 ft high, or 110 ft long (and all manufactured housing) is suspended unless an exception is granted on: Memorial Day, Independence Day (July 4), Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and New Year's Day.
