Using oversize routing

The routing tool plans a path that a legal-for-your-load truck can actually drive — not just the shortest car route.

  1. Open Oversize Routing and enter your start and destination.
  2. Enter your load's dimensions and weight so the route avoids clearances and weight limits you can't meet.
  3. Review the route: it accounts for bridge clearances and known restrictions, powered by the Valhalla routing engine with federal bridge data.

Routing is a strong planning tool, not a permit. Always carry the correct state permits and follow any route the issuing state specifies on the permit.
